A device for mounting a dead bird to act as a decoy comprises a prop or column 10 the upper end of which is cranked and inserted into a slot or socket in a bracket 14 which has fastened to it an arm 15 shaped to the body of the bird. Curved cross-pieces 16, 17 extend from the arm 15 to support the bird and the arm 15 is curved upwardly at 18 to provide a support for the bird's head. The device is preferably made of a bendable sheet metal.
