In a method of joining objects having different thermal expansion coefficients to one another, an auxiliary piece embracing the object having the lower thermal expansion coefficient at places which would normally not come into contact with glue when the objects are joined, is fastened to the objects with the aid of thermo-hardening glue. A body 1 of hard magnetic material or a high magnetic permeability ceramic material is glued at 4 to a single or sectional trough piece 3 of, for example, 0À5 mm. to 1 mm. stainless steel or ferrochromium plate which is subsequently glued at 5 to a metal surface 2. The glue may be based on an epoxy resin and harden at a temperature between 150‹ and 200‹ C. The same or different glues may be used between the members. Alternatively, the members may be joined by angle members positioned about the lower periphery of the body on the base.
