Artificial sweetening preparations comprise a dry mixture or aquerous solution of sodium cyclamate and calcium cyclamate in which the weight ratio of the salts is within the range of 1:02 to 1:4, preferably 1:0.5 to 1:1.2. An hydrous or hydrated calcium cyclamate may be used and the preparations may contain a small amount of another artificial sweetening agent and for dietary sweeting agent, e.g. arabitol or sorbitol, and preservative, e.g. benzoic acid or a p-hydroxybenzoic acid ester.
