摘要
A method of seismic prospecting, characterized by the following steps: a) simultaneous transmission to the earth of substantially identical seismic signals from each of the transmitting stations of a first group, each of said seismic signals being thus transmitted substantially identical in frequency, sweep and frequency shift in relation to time and amplitude; b) substantially simultaneous reception of the various components of all the signals transmitted from the first group of transmitting stations to the detector station located at a point remote from the first group of transmitting stations; o) recording the signal received by the detector station on a recording medium, such as an elongated track; d) simultaneous transmission to earth of substantially identical seismic signals from each of the separate transmitting stations forming a second group, which are separated from the first group of transmitting stations and from the detecting station, these signals being transmitted by the second group of transmitting stations identical to those transmitted by the first group of transmitting stations; e) substantially simultaneous reception of the various components of all the seismic signals transmitted by the second group of transmitting stations to said detector station; f) gradation of the second signal received at the detection station on said recording medium, in the form of an elongated track in parallel and adjacent relationship with the first mentioned track, each of the received signals being recorded the same time period after the respective emission of the signal; g) reproduction and composition of the signals represented by said tracks for obtaining a composite signal equivalent to a signal like that which would be received in the detector station if all the signals were transmitted simultaneously from all the transmitting stations.
