A method for producing 51-inosinic acid, 31-adenyli acid or 51-adenylic acid comprises aerobically culturing a micro-organism which requires at least one growth factor selected from quanine, xanthine, hypoxanthine and thymine in a medium containing a source of assimilable carbon, a source of assimilable nitrogen, inorganic salts and from 2 to 90 m g/ml. of each required growth factor.
