1,039,768. Transistor oscillator circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Aug. 30, 1963 [Sept. 1, 1962], No. 34451/63. Heading H3T. The frequency of an oscillator is stabilized against supply voltage variation by a varactor controlled by a voltage derived from a bridge circuit containing a reference voltage cell. Variation in supply voltage U B results in an appropriate variation in the voltage across the diagonal of a bridge containing resistors 8, 9, 10 and a dry cell 11, which voltage is fed via resistors 6, 7 to a variable capacitance diode 5 which corrects the resulting frequency variation. An automatic frequency control circuit 13 may be connected by switch 12. The cell 11 may supply bias for other stages in a radio receiver.
