A machine for vibrating a mould for concrete comprises a stationary base supporting an electrically-driven shaft 2 which is connected by a key 3 to a profiled cam 1. This cam supports through nearly all its rotation a follower roller 6 mounted by plates (10), (11) and a ball-race (9) on a shaft (8) secured beneath a table supporting the mould. As the cam rotates it contacts the follower 6 at O and on further rotation lifts the follower until it reaches M, a point of maximum lifting. On further rotation past M, the follower 6 drops freely under gravity until the table contacts an abutment. The cycle is then repeated to shake the mould. There are at least two parallel shafts 2 each carrying a cam 1 at each end, and a series of abutments.
