1,076,023. Dispensing liquids. LICENTIA PATENT - VERTWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. June 26, 1964 [June 28, 1963; July 4, 1963], No. 26545/64. Heading A4T. [Also in Division G4] An arrangement for enabling access to a service facility by a customer includes a locking device for directly controlling access to the facility itself in response to the insertion of an appropriate key and a printing mechanism adapted to receive and to print, both on a checking voucher for issue to the customer and on a control strip remaining in the device, information identifying both the key inserted and the degree to which the service facility has been used. A code key (10, Fig. 3 not shown) inserted in a petrol pump unlocks (6) the control mechanism (25) and sets print wheels (56) through slides (52) and gears (54, 55) to identify the customer, such that a voucher (14) and accounting strip (15) are printed according to the code key (10) and by type wheels (7, 63) set by the meter of the dispensing pump. The control mechanism (25) is held horizontal during dispensing by a spring (60), and a tooth (85, Fig. 4 not shown) locks the printing wheel. After dispensing, the printing motor rotates a shaft (3) such that a multi-armed lever (81) disengages the tooth (85) from the printing wheel (26) to permit rotation about a shaft (4) and rocks the control mechanism (25) in an anticlockwise direction on another shaft (59) through a pin (88) engaging with an arm (86). The printing wheel (26) is inked by a roller (27) and the vouchers (14) are cut off by a knife (30). The key (10) locking mechanism (50) is disengaged after printing. A front opening flap (32) permits reloading of the accounting cannister (28) and the paper voucher roll (29). The key (10) is housed in a casette (11) with a front flap against fraudulent action by detents which may only be released by magnets located within the control device.
