An adhesive composition for bonding vulcanized synthetic or natural rubber to fabrics consists of a mixture of a copolymer of butadiene with a vinyl compound, a homopolymer of a vinylpyridine and a phenolformaldehyde resin. Butadiene-styrene is the specified copolymer which 2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine and 2-vinyl-pyridine are specified monomers. The products are vulcanized. The adhesive is in latex form.
