[Also in Division B2] A receiving sheet for pressure-sensitive copying paper comprises a paper support coated with a layer of clay which has been heat treated at a temperature greater than 200‹C. and a binder. In the clay layer there may be incorporated microcapsules which rupture under local pressure to release a colourless compound which upon contact with the clay produces a coloured dye: Alternatively a copying paper comprising the clay paper and a microcapsule paper is provided. The clays may be a Japanese acid clay or a zeolite, attapulgite, and bentonite, the binders, casein, starch and latex and the dyes crystal violet lactone, benzoyl leucomethylene blue, rhodamine B lactam or Michler's hydrol.
