A package with a closure cap having a closure ring guaranteeing that the container, e.g. a bottle of whisky or gin, a foodstuff container or the like, has not already been opened, the special features of which are:- (a) the provision of a bread on the container neck having a series of recesses sectionally inclined round its lower edge with a thread on the upwardly tapering closure end and a sharply re-entrant neck section below the bead leading to the shoulder of the container body; (b) a closure cap with a sealing material liner, and a rolled edge ring attached to its lower edge by bridge pieces.
