[Also in Divisions C3 and C5] Organic materials are stabilized with compositions comprising (A) 1 to 99 weight per cent of a tin compound of formula (R 1 ) 2 SuS, where R 1 is C 1-12 alkyl, C 6-12 cycloalkyl, C 7-12 aralkyl or C 6-12 aryl and (B) 99 to 1 weight per cent of a phenolic antioxidant of formula (1) where R 3 and R 4 are C 3-20 -branched alkyl, C 8-20 -branched aralkyl or C 6-20 cycloalkyl, R 5 and R 6 are H, C 1-20 alkyl, C 6-20 cycloalkyl or C 7-20 aralkyl, and Z is -S n -, where n is 1 to 3 or C 1-12 alkylene or alkylidene; (2) (3) where R 7 , R 8 , R 9 and R 10 are H, hydroxy, C 1-6 alkyl, -OR 11 or R 12 CO-, where R 11 is C 1-6 alkyl and R 12 is C 1-6 alkyl, C 6-12 aryl or C 7-18 aralkyl, or a group (4) (5) where R 13 and R 14 are C 1-12 alkyl, C 6-18 aryl, C 7-18 aralkyl or IX; (6) or (7) where R 15 is C 1-3 divalent hydrocarbon, R 16 is C 1-20 hydrocarbon of valence p, p is 1 to 4 and q is 0 or 1. Examples describe compositions of (27) bis-(methylphenoxy) benzene, dibutyl tin sulphide and ethylene glycol bis-(3,5-di-secbutyl-4-hydroxybenzoate).
