A ground engaging foot for a support leg on construction plant comprises a flat square plate 1 attached to, and partially covering, an open frame 2 carrying several spikes 4. The frame 2 is formed from four V-shaped sheet steel parts welded together, and has a sawtooth like lower edge. The spikes are welded to the comers of the frame. The plate 1 has a pair of flanges 5 for attachment to the support leg of a vehicle. The plate 1 may also be rectangular, and the frame may be square, circular, or elliptical, Figs. 3, 4, 5 (not shown).
