A bronchial dilator which may be carried in a patient's pocket and which is illustrated with reference to Fig. II, comprises a housing 1 which may be connected to the patient's respiratory system, e.g. by a mouthpiece 2, an air inlet 3, 4, 5, and air outlet means comprising a spring-loaded or elastic valve 6 to 13 and a valve having an adjustable passage area 14-17, the elastic valve having a larger capacity and working at a higher pressure than the adjustable valve. The spring-loaded valve may be adjustable. Means may be provided for supplying medicine to the inhalation air.
