[Also in Division C2] Helminthiasis in animals may be treated by the administration of a therapeutic dosage of a compound of the formula: or an acid addition salt thereof, wherein Y is wherein R 2 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, chloro, bromo or fluoro, R 3 is hydrogen or methyl, R 1 is hydrogen or methyl, R 5 is chloro, bromo, iodo, fluoro, hydrogen or methyl and n is 2 or 3 with the proviso that when n is 2 R 5 is methyl. The compounds may be administered orally (e.g. in an amount of 0.5-150 mg per kg. of body weight) or parenterally (e.g. in an amount of 5-150 mg per kg of body weight). For oral administration they may be formulated as tablets, capsules or liquid mixtures and solutions and for parenteral administration they may be used in a variety of vehicles which may be aqueous or non-aqueous.
