[Also in Divisions B2 and D1] Apparatus for producing five-ply laminate suitable, e.g., as partition walls, comprises two longitudinally arranged pairs of vertically disposed endless belts 42 and 42a. The belts of each pair pass around the opposite end portions of common upper and lower rollers 14, 18 or 14a, 18a, respectively, with their adjacent inner edges in contact. One stretch of each belt passes through a vertical tube 16 or 16a, assuming a cylindrical form therein and being coated therein (see Division B2) with a plastics foam layer 32, 32a, respectively. The belts are formed, e.g. of silicone rubber, to which the foam layer does not adhere. The contiguous layers 32a are laid upon a succession of cladding panels 45 supported on a roller bed 44. Successive panels 46 are placed upon the layers 32a, as the latter leave the belts 42a, in advance of a series of pressing rollers 48. The respective foam layers 32 are applied to the panels 46 as the latter pass below the rollers 18, while finally a further series of panels 49 is applied to the top of the layer 32 in advance of a series of pressing rollers 50.
