Synchronised hydraulic vibrators for - continuous casting mould

Hydraulic oscillation installation has two cylinders, the movement of the pistons in which is synchronised after each stroke by a pause at their bottom dead spot position permitting their synchronised upwards movement. The cylinders receive their hydraulic power from a mechanically driven installation comprising an oscillating crosshead to which are connected the piston rods of pairs of cylinders for feeding the upper and lower chambers of the oscillating cylinders. The pause caused at the bottom of the stroke being accounted for by the time taken for the diversion of excess oil being pumped by the larger diameter cylinders of the drive cylinder, whilst the vibrator piston rod is already at its lowest position, the vibration beign otherwise purely sinusoidal.
