The bipolar threshold amplitude trigger, for separating signal from noise in regenerative amplifiers in pulse transmission paths, has its actual triggering circuit consisting of two parallel-coupled transistors (Ts1, Ts2) supplied at their bases with oppositely-phased input signals, via a transformer. The threshold is determined bya third transistor (Ts3) connected by its emitter to the emitters of the other transistors and by its collector to the supply end of the two transistor common collector resistor (R1). The third transistor emitter is coupled via a resistor (R2) to the supply, and its base to a rectifier.
