Film from stock reels to a forming and heating station, then to a printing station and finally a blanking station where the finished packs are punched out. The printing station includes up and down rotary punches with carriage mount and paint or ink stock rollers, as many colours involved in the marketing to be applied. The punches are on a crossbar which lifts and lowers to suit the infeed of the web for marking. Counter punches are run in onto the film web from below to serve as support surfaces for the printing operation.
