Powdered mixture for prepn of binary age - hardened nickel based alloys

摘要

Ni powder of particle size 5 mu contains 0.5 - 40% by vol. of a refractory metal oxide of particle size 1 mu and mechanically inseparable. The powder is mixed with up to 30% wght. of Cr, W, Mo or Co as a metal powder, or as one of their salts reducible by hydrogen. The powder is pulverized till homogeneous and the wet mixture dried and heated with hydrogen to reduce the excess of oxygen with respect to that in the refractory oxide, to 500 p.p.m.
