In addition to brighteners and other known agents the solution contains p-oxybenzaldehyde and cyclohexanone (cyclohexanone-bisulphite). An example solution consists of 19g/l ZnO, 165g/l NaOH, 10g/l Na gluconate, 1g/l thiourea, 0.8g/l p-oxybenzaldehyde, 0.2g/l vanillin 1.5g/l cyclohexanone bisulphite, 4 ml/l formaldehyde and 7.5 ml/l tetraethylenepentamine, and is used at 45 degrees C and 0.5-6 A/dm2. This solution gives a bright zinc electrodeposit.
