A sheet metal, reinforced plastics or asbestos cement gutter 2 is supported by L-shaped brackets 13 secured thereto by bolts 11 and 12, the inner arm 14 of the bracket being secured to a bracket 16 screwed to the building 18. The gutter is also connected to the brackets by struts 22 having T-section heads engaged in slots in a hollow rib 3 and the centre of the brackets. The arms 14 of the brackets may extend down the inner wall of the wall 5 and be secured thereto by bolts which also secure it to bracket 16.
