Treating metal wire - to cool the wire in a bath ensuring optimum allotropic transformation

Installation for the treatment of metal wire comprises a bath, a feeder supplying loose coils of wire to the bath, a device, particularly immersed in the bath, for transferring the wire through and out of the bath, and a transporter moving the wire beyond the bath. The bath is heated, and sprays partially overhang the bath to rinse and further treat the wire. Esp. the speeds of the transporters are independently variable, and the posn. of the bath transporter is adjustable to vary the length of the path followed by the wire through the bath.
