Isothiocyanate/cysteine reaction products - which increase nonspecific resistance

Reaction products of an isothiocyanate and cysteine increase resistance, e.g. to bacterial and viral infections, in the sense of a non-specific stimulation therapy. They may be used for the treatment of acute and esp. chronic illnesses, e.g. chronic articular disorders, and ulcers, and for prophylaxis of infections, e.g. influenza. They may be used in conjunction with active and passive immunisation, and may be administered orally or parenterally.
