摘要
Pure or crude copper phthalocyanine pigments are reacted at elevated temps. in chlorosulphonic acid with 5-18, pref. 8-15, esp. 8-12% bromine based on pigment wt. A halogenation catalyst e.g. iodine or Sb2S5 may be used. Mixts. contg. mainly beta-modification are converted with good yields into alpha-modifications of high purity and resistance to recrystallise. and flocculation. The prodts. may be converted to lakes with polyvalent metal salts. The prodts. are suitable for pigmenting org. materials esp. mass-colouring of plastics, in reddish-blue shades.
