Perforated drum washer - with faster liquid flow for endless widths of material

Wet treatment of endless widths of material is effected in a treatment bath containing the liquid by a screening drum arrangement which rotates in the bath and enables liquid to fow through its interior. A small distance from the drum or from the material lying on the drum casing there is an appliance with nozzle openings which passes over a specific area of the drum casing and pref. takes the form of a nozzle plate concentric with the drum surface. The nozzle openings in the nozzle plate pref. only cover the width or less than the width of the material to be treated in the treatment chamber. The arrangement is partic. useful for the wet treatment of materials which are impermeable to the liq. and the drum may exhibit a greater perforated width than the material to be treated.
