Drying latex foam backing - using infrared convective and microwave heating

摘要

A method for drying and hardening latex foam on a support strip, esp. latex foam backing on a carpet, consists of reducing the moisture content by infra-red and/or convection heating to about 5% and then using microwave energy to complete drying and effect hardening. The method results in considerable reduction in the size of drying plant.
