Fodder prepn and preservation - by pulping separating liquid and solid fractions, evaporating water and combining the fractions

Vegetable material is comminuted immediately after the harvesting to such a degree that walls of a major proportion of cells are damaged; the resulting pulp is separated into a solid fraction and a liquid fraction; the solid fraction is dried; the liquid fraction is concentrated in an evaporator; the concentrate is mixed with the dried solid fraction; and the mixture is completely dried. The product has good storage stability, and occupies relatively small space. Loss of valuable nutrient components is prevented.
