Metal coatings produced on diamond grains by this method are much stronger than e.g. those deposited galvanically. The dispersion of the metal melt contg. diamond grains is pref. carried out by spraying under pressure. The resulting particles are sintered. By this method, grinding wheels of high porosity can be produced. The metals used are Al, Cu, Zn, Sn, Cd Co, Ni, Ag or Au or alloys of these.
