A heat conveying device on the heat pipe principle, comprising a completely closed vessel subdivided by partitions into completely separated chambers as in the parent patent is improved in that the chambers are formed by longitudinal or transverse partitions, which are so arranged that, independently of the external force field, (e.g. acceleration or electromagnetic field), heat transport always takes place in some of the chambers with the assistance of the external forces, over distances exceeding the capillary rise. A typical arrangement comprises a cylindrical vessel with the evaporation zone placed along the axis and the condensing zone at the cylinder wall. Various arrangements of internal membranes sub-divide this into compartments. The arrangement ensures that heat is always transported, even when the unit is mounted in a high acceleration field. The tube may be continuously rotated about its axis or a line parallel thereto.
