Reactor materials test rig - for use in reactor irradiation facility

A test rig for evaluation of elastic and inelastic properties of reactor fuel and structural materials in a reactor irradiation facility liner. The specimens are loaded in a capsule which is sealed for insertion in the liner. Within the capsule means are provided for cooling, heating, temp. measurement and tensile loading of the specimen according to requirements. Changes in physical length are measured by means of an induction coil linked directly to the specimen.
