Vinylidene chloride terpolymer film - for packaging foodstuffs,contng acrylonitrile and alkyl acrylate units

Ternary polymers of 80-90 wt.% vinylidene chloride, 1-4% acrylonitrile and 2-9% 1-8 C-alkyl acrylate units, produced by discontinuous suspension polymsn., are used for blowing films. The impervious films can be produced without the addn. of plasticiser or stabilisers and hence are suitable for packaging foodstuffs.
