A manually directed unmanned aircraft or missile is provided with an over-ride facility from a computer store if the input exceeds preset limits. The control lever operates on a slide potentiometer to generate a control signal that is amplified before transmitting to a computer. The computer compares the incoming signal with a reference from a memory. If the incoming signal exceeds the reference value a correcting signal is transmitted to an eddy current brake that has an output shaft coupled to the manual leverl. The memory data is based upon acceptable acceleration rates, velocity and position. In the any attempt to oversteer the craft is avoided.
