Metal inositol hexaphosphates - from inositol hexaphosphoric acid and organo metal cpd in anhydrous medium

Inositol hexaphosphoric acid is reacted with an organometallic cpd. e.g. Mg methylate, under anhydrous conditions. The prodt is obtd in good yields and high purity. Neutral magnesium inositol hexaphosphate may be prepd. by reacting phytic acid with Mg methylate.
