Killing steel - with aluminium paper and plastic aluminium

Complex of aluminium foil coated paper and plastic aluminium in a compacted form is added to the ladle or the ingot mould. The complex is made by grinding chopping, etc., the aluminium into fine particles, and mixing with a binder such as PVA, PVC/PVA copolymer or stearic acid. The carbon formed by burning the paper imigrates to the walls of the ingot producing a smooth surface.
