From the main pipe in which the slurry is flowing a sloping pipe, with or without metering instruments lends down to a trap, with hinged door, from which a second sloping tubular casing leads back up to the main pipe downstream of the bleed. In this casing a rotor in the form of two spiral strips with reinforcing rods is turned by a motor or so that the sediment is driven into the trap.
