The frame structure comprises a base frame 1, connected as a rigid quadrilateral, transverse base beams 6, 7 rigidly connected to the base frame and to forward and rear supporting members 2 and 3 for the boiler, the connection of the rear supporting member allowing relative movement under the action of heat between the rear supporting member 3 and the associated transverse beam 7. The two transverse beams serve to strengthen the base frame 1 and to carry the water tank 16 and feed water preparation plant 15. Vertical lateral supports 8 are rigidly connected to the base frame and a substantially rectangular rigid roof frame 10 is provided with transverse roof trusses 21 rigidly connected to the vertical side supports and is of the same general shape as the base frame. The base frame comprises a Z-section, a box-section and an L-section. The transverse beams include box-section struts and C-section beams. Openings are formed in the corners 11 of the roof frame 10 for connecting and securing gripping and lifting devices thereto.
