Crystallised glass article having a pattern, partic. one resembling that of a natural stone e.g. granite, marble etc. manufactured by fusing together and integrating small masses of crystallisable glass having the property whereby when heat-treated at a temp. above its softening pt. acicular type crystals are precipitated from the surface into the interior when it has been softened and deformed and simultaneously crystallisation takes place in the glass, the acicular crystals being oriented in different directions relative to the surface of the article and thereby producing a pattern thereon.
