Process for the preparation of aperfeicoado dense crystals of a new form polimorfica hydrochloride lincomycin

Polymorph II of lincomycin hydrochloride has a higher density than the normal polymorph I, is more suitable for encapsulating and has a characteristic X-ray diffraction pattern. It is obtained by adding acetone slowly with stirring to an aqueous solution of lincomycin hydrochloride at a temperature above 25 DEG C. Lincomycin hydrochloride polymorph I is prepared in Specification 976,765. A therapeutic composition in the form of a capsule contains lincomycin hydrochloride polymorph II.
