A method for  producing  ANTIAMOEBIN which comprise1; cultivating an ANTIAMOEAIN producing strain of Emericettopsis or Cephahsporium partt-cularly E, synnematicola, E. poonesis. Cephalosporjnw pimprina and strains of ther Emericallopsis such as . minima and humicola and their conidial stages, in a culture medium a containing assimilable sources of carbohydrates, nitrogen and inorganic salts until substantial amount of the antibiotic is produced in the broth culture, and then recovering the antibiotic from the said culture medium.
