Composite seat cushions - with a polyurethane skin on a thermoplastic foam over a coarser thermosetting foam

Composite seating comprising a layer of thermoplastic foam over a core of thermosetting foam. the latter having a thin cover of non cross-linked polyurethane film comprising a lining or coating a few tenths to a few hundredths of a mm thick in a mould for shaping a thermoplastic (PVC) foam of density 0.2 to 0.8 prior to injection of a crosslinkable resin to produce a foam of density 0.1, pref. of polyurethane of density 0.03-0.08. Esp. for production of car seats, but also suitable for other upholstery, pref. moulded with a grained surface finish.
