Conical centrifuge drum for continuously operating centrifuge, partic. a sugar centrifuge, of the known type having fixing elements for clamping the separating sieve in recesses on its inner surface as well as collecting channels open only on the inside of the drum with outlet openings for the liq. to be discharged, and having flanges at its free edges, incorporates the following novel features: (a) the centrifuge drum is widened stepwise approx. in the middle, the inner face of the strengthened step having a recess for the insertion of the separating sieve, which is provided on one side with wedge profile running parallel to the inner surface of th edrum and is in effective connection with a clamping ring; (b) an analogously shaped separating sieve fixing element is present in the lower flange of the centrifuge drum; (c) small annular collecting channels machined in the central step as well as in the upper flange are connected to an external liq. chamber adjacent to the drum only by bores underneath and parallel to the drum axis.
