Dough roll machine - reversal drive with slow feed and fast withdrawal both sides

Dough is fed in slower and drawn out faster from the rolls by superposed belts both sides using friction wheels on the belt shafts and contact wheels to power the friction wheels. The contact wheels are mounted on a pair of rockers, with common pivot axis, and a friction wheel on the rocker is coupled to the roll unit drive through vee belting. Two driving wheels on one of the belt shafts are coupled to this through opposed sense freewheel couplings, and a friction wheel on the shaft is permanently fixed to this. The rockers can be forced up into their end setting electrically or mechanically appropriate to the sense in which the dough rolls are operating. There is less chance of a stoppage and product quality is maintained.
