Cpds. of formula (I): (where R1, R3 and R4 are 1 - 18C alkyl; R2 is H or 1 - 18C alkyl; x and y are 0 or 1) are prepd. by adding R1COO(CH2)xCHR2-CH2 onto a cpd. (II): at 130 - 250 degrees C (pref. 150 - 200 degrees C) under the action of high-energy radiation, pref. gamma- or X-rays or accelerated (0.5 - 4 MeV) electrons. Yields of 80 - 90% are obtd. Cpds. (I) are intermediates for plant-protection agents, ripening accelerators and flameproofing agents.
