Slide fastener with integral links and support tape - provides for perfect spacing of links without need for accurate stitching

The slide fastening comprises rows of links which are mounted on a support element having a continuous meander shaped wire structure which along the coupling edge is folded back to form the coupling links wherein coupling lugs are moulded out at the point of fold. The spacing between the links is constantly maintained by spacers which are formed by a spacing tape which is sewn between the arms of the links formed by the fold. Since the coupling links and support elements are all one there is no need for any special tape which would also create more difficulties for setting the precise even spacing between the links.
