Pigment for paints - using asbestos fibres to increase life and strength of paint film

A special pigment is used to adsorb usual anionic pigments. The special material consists of individual short fibres of Calidria (Californian) chrysotile asbestos, having specific surface 60-80 m2/g. reflective power =74%, and a magnetic content 0.6%. The pigmented asbestos particles are extremely fine, they have improved covering power, they increase the structural strength and life of the paint film, and thickeners are not necessary.
