Plastics material tester - esp for creep ratio of solid tough visco elastic material

The stranded sample is clamped between one pair of rotating clamps, spring mounted, driven at constant speed and with a load cell transducer in the mounting and a spatially fixed pair of rotating clamps driven by a servo motor controlled by cascaded experimental and differential amplifiers. Two potent iometers, in series across a voltage source, and driven by the motor shafts produce a combined elongation signal which is recorded on a curve tracer against time. The force signal, which may also be recorded, is fed to the differential amplifier and to the final servo amplifier.
