Macro-agglomerate title composn. is prepd. by treating a sulphur cpd. such as hyposulphite with an acid in the presence of Tc-99m to give a colloid, adding denatured albumin (pref. normal serum albumin in the first stage of denaturation), adjusting the pH to the isoelectric pt. of the protein to form agglomerates, which are heated to produce uniform particles of the required size, pref. 10-100 mu. 75 - 100% localises in the lungs, very little in the liver and the prepn. clears the lungs after 4-24 hrs. It is intended that the material is prepd. immediately before use.
