Continuous casting plant - for slabs, with electromagnetic pump in rising channel to slab mould

A continuous casting plant for slabs conveys the molten metal from a reservoir, maintained by intermittent topping up, by adjustable electromagnetic forces directly to an inlet nozzle below the level of the molten metal in the slab mould. The inlet nozzle can be exchanged by interrupting the inflow of molten metal by suitable reduction of the electromagnetic forces.
