1373439 Laminates ALLIED CHEMICAL CORP 22 Sept 1972 [22 Sept 1971] 43960/72 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] Laminates are prepared by (a) distributing powdered novaculite (a form of quartz), filled polyethylene terephthalate between seven layers of non-woven glass mats and fusing the assembly, (b) introducing a glass mat or loose glass fibre between two layers of novaculite filled polyester and passing the assembly through rollers, or (c) placing a sheet formed from polyester and novaculite between a number of alternating polyester sheet glass fibre layers and fusing the assembly. Graphite fibres may be used in place of the glass fibres.
